Marshall is a Research Assistant in MDRC’s K-12 Education policy area, where he works in a variety of roles. He has conducted qualitative interviews with the Chicago Public Schools and the Alaska Department of Education & Early Development for a series of practitioner briefs, Educational Equity: Solutions Through Social and Emotional Well-Being. He also assists with project efforts, such as designing dissemination strategies, survey protocols, and Program Management Frameworks (PMFs). As a certified grant and proposal writer, Marshall previously worked as a grant officer at Gilmour Academy, where he secured the 2021 FEMA Nonprofit Security Grant. In 2019, he interned at Student Achievement Partners, drafting instructional guides on critical race theory for the organization’s President and Board of Directors. Marshall graduated from John Carroll University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and economics.
