Santos is a research associate in the Center for Applied Behavioral Science, where he designs and quantitatively assesses the impact of studies applying behavioral science to social policy. Before joining MDRC, he was part of Geisinger Health System’s Behavioral Insights Team. As part of this group, he collaborated with hospital stakeholders to design and evaluate patient- and clinician-facing interventions, using principles from behavioral science. He has also conducted research on behavioral nudges, trust in expertise, wise reasoning, and cultural change. Santos holds a B.A. in psychology from Georgetown University and a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Waterloo.
