
Nguyen is a data manager in MDRC’s K-12 Education policy area, where he provides technical and data management expertise on a various projects, including the Purpose Built Communities, Career Impact Bonds, STARI Expansion, and Accelerate Ed projects. More recently, he has helped manage and author an evaluation on California Partnership Academies, and is currently finding ways to transform how data is processed and managed at MDRC.
Nguyen has an extensive background in econometrics, statistics, and education research. He worked in various research settings, such as the Harvard Graduate School of Education, SEDA lab, the Harvard Project on Workforce, and the CTE department at the Department of Education, before joining MDRC. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and a master’s degree from Harvard.
