As a member of the Accountability and Deployment unit, Bambino contributes to strategic initiatives that strengthen MDRC’s evidence-based practices: for example, supporting MDRC’s work with the Edna McConnell Clark Foundation’s Social Innovation Fund. She also serves as resource manager for the Improving Contraceptive Options Now (ICON) pilot and for various projects within the K-12 Education policy area. In addition, she provides resource management for a portfolio of MDRC’s internal research support teams and plays a key role in staff deployment. Previously, Bambino worked for the New York City Department of Small Business Services as director of a federally funded job training program for low-wage earners. She also has experience complying with federal Housing and Urban Development policy in helping residents of public housing find work in government-funded positions. She holds a BA in sociology and anthropology from Hofstra University and a master’s degree in urban planning from Hunter College.
