Economic Mobility, Housing, and Communities

Addo is a research associate in the Economic Mobility, Housing, and Communities policy area and has more than a decade of experience conducting research and policy analysis on social policy issues. Her work focuses on sector-based workforce development programs, including studies on implementing programs and financial well-being research. Before joining MDRC, Addo was a National Poverty Fellow in the Office of Planning, Research, and Evaluation (OPRE) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. At OPRE, she focused on evaluations of education and training programs and financial capability research. Her previous experience includes serving as a research fellow at a New York City-based think tank, a health and education policy adviser in the U.S. Senate, and as a senior advisor at Burness, advising nonprofit organizations on communications and policy strategy. Addo holds a doctorate in social welfare from the University of Pennsylvania, a master’s degree in urban policy analysis and management from The New School, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan.
