Sukanya Barman

Barman is a technical research assistant in the Postsecondary Education policy area, where she currently works on the Texas Transfer Grants and Dana Center Math Pathways (DCMP) projects. Before joining MDRC in 2022, Barman interned in the research division of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. She also worked at the University of Virginia as a research assistant, focusing on research that applied economics to higher education access and attainment, and as a teaching assistant in the economics department. Barman graduated with a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Virginia, where she also minored in data analytics and psychology.
