Porcelli is a technical research analyst in the Families and Children policy area, where he works on Head Start Connects, a project aimed at improving knowledge around Head Start family support services and Measures for Early Success, a project seeking to aid the development of more equitable early learning assessments tools. Before joining MDRC in 2022, Porcelli interned for New York City-based nonprofits Citizens Union and the Housing Rights Initiative, fighting for election transparency and tenant advocacy. He also has written about New York City politics and policy for the Gotham Gazette and Brooklyn Daily Eagle. Porcelli holds a master’s degree in public administration and a bachelor’s degree in public policy from New York University.
