CAPR is a research center led by MDRC and the Community College Research Center that documents practices in developmental education and rigorously assesses the effects of innovative programs. It is funded by U.S. Department of Education’s Institute of Education Sciences. CAPR is conducting several studies examining developmental education, including a national survey of developmental education practices at two- and four-year colleges, an evaluation of alternate systems of assessment and placement, and an evaluation of a developmental math pathways program in Texas. CAPR’s e-mail updates provide the latest research and news on promising developmental education practices and policies from across the country.
